A Message from the Dean

The State of Michigan is in the midst of one of the more challenging economic cycles of transition in its history. You may also be experiencing a similar transition in your life and work.  Extended University Programs (EUP) staff understands the uncertainty of the moment, and we put our best efforts into your experience as a Western Michigan University student. Our collective goal is to graduate students who are prepared to succeed in today’s economy – no matter what their field of study.

As you seek an educational institution to help fulfill career goals, you are undoubtedly filing several applications and searching for a school that offers that right fit. We are confident that Western Michigan University offers the opportunity and the support you need to continue your education.  Our evening/weekend class schedules, state-of-the-art facilities, and choice of degree programs are just a few reasons that students view WMU as their best option.  

At WMU branch campuses, you’ll encounter open doors and accessible staff that provide the services of a larger institution with the intimate feel of a small school. Your professors and classmates will even know your name! In addition to our focus on the newest classroom technologies, you will also receive face-to-face interaction and communication in the majority of our programs.

While going back to school may seem like an overwhelming endeavor, EUP attempts to ease the burden by offerings courses that fit your busy schedule, held in a community near you.  As you spend moments thinking about furthering your education and your career, I encourage you to talk to our staff and faculty, and please don’t hesitate to let us know if we can be of help as you begin this process.
