The program is intended for students seeking professional positions in the interdisciplinary field of human resources development, which includes practice in such areas as training and development, performance technology, instructional design and technology, and organization development. The program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to effectively contribute to improving the value and impact of HRD products and services in a diverse group of organizations.
Human Resource Development encompasses a variety of disciplines that involve the study of learning, performance, and change in diverse settings and organizations. The curriculum reflects the broad spectrum of these disciplines, giving students the opportunity to analyze and integrate concepts, methods, and tools from the disciplines of education, psychology, communication, and management.
Program Benefits:
The program will prepare graduates in the concepts, methods, and tools of HRD that allow them to play leadership roles in the design and delivery of HRD functions and services. Graduates will study and achieve an enhanced understanding of adult learning, human performance, and organizational effectiveness. Graduates of the program hold leadership and professional positions in regional and global companies, non-profit organizations, education, and the public sector.
