About WMU Southwest
Located at the entrance of Lake Michigan College’s campus on Napier Avenue, the state-of-the-art WMU Southwest Campus sits on scenic grounds just outside of Benton Harbor. As far back as 1905, Western Michigan University has offered extension courses in southwest Michigan, and the WMU Southwest Campus continues that tradition today.
The 45,000 square-foot building houses 12 classrooms, a computer lab, two science labs, two conference rooms, study areas, student commons, and a reading clinic, as well as faculty, advising and administrative offices. Technology is incorporated into all aspects of the wireless building and all classrooms are equipped with multimedia instruction equipment. Being in close proximity to LMC gives our students the opportunity to use the LMC library and other key resources as a supplement to WMU's extensive online library and computer services.
