Named 2006 Best Engineering Management Program by the American Society for Engineering Management

Industrial research, consulting, and commercial firms are seeking engineering managers with both cutting edge technical competence as well as the management skills necessary to forge links with the systems and business sides of these organizations. Engineering Management is the art and science of planning, organizing, allocating resources and directing activities which have a technical component.
An M.S. in Engineering Management “bridges the gap” between engineering and management. It focuses on leadership and the skills necessary to manage people, money, and projects. As part of your quality education at WMU, the Engineering Management program offers you the following:
- Opportunities to network among peers at other businesses
- Courses taught by full-time WMU faculty, all with significant industrial experience and active in research
- In addition to traditional engineering coursework, students focus on business, economics, systems management, and supervision
The M.S. in Engineering Management program at WMU-Grand Rapids provides graduates with both excellent technical and managerial skills. The curriculum is designed to accommodate the time-constraints of the full-time working adult and courses are currently offered in the evening.
