The Lansing Campus offers several different degrees in the undergraduate and graduate curriculums. Please view the Programs section of our site.

Each program at the Lansing Campus has an assigned advisor that regularly meets with students here in our offices. These meetings are available by appointment and can be scheduled by calling our office for available dates and times. In cases where in-person meetings cannot be arranged, a telephone conference is usually a possibility.

The computer lab in the University Center is open for use from 8 a.m to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.  Students who are currently enrolled at WMU's Lansing campus can also use the computer lab acoss the street in room 100 of the TLC building on LCC's main campus from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. - 12 midnight, and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m..   In addition, these students can also use the labs at LCC East, Livingston County Center at Parker Campus, and St. Johns Clinton County Center.  Visit http://www.lcc.edu/ece/ for information on location and hours of operation.  For computing policies visit acceptable use policy

Course cancellations due to inclement weather are rare and will be made by 2 p.m. each day. University policy dictates that if the main campus in Kalamazoo is closed, then we must close, regardless of the weather here in Lansing. However, occasionally the weather in Lansing will necessitate a weather closure. For weekday classes, the closure notice will be posted on our web site at www.lg.wmich.edu and a message will be placed on our voicemail system. We may also send an email notice to those students who have given us their information in advance. For weekend courses, a notice will be placed on the voicemail system 2 hours prior to the start of the class. Obviously, students should use their best judgment about whether conditions are safe for them to travel, regardless of the official campus decision.

Your instructor will usually provide you with a means of contacting him or her, either by telephone or voicemail. If you do not have access to that information or cannot reach him or her, you may leave a message for the instructor at our office and we will deliver that message at the earliest opportunity.

All textbooks for Lansing Campus courses are available at Gibson’s Bookstore, located at 316 North Capitol Avenue in downtown Lansing (near Lansing Community College.) You will need to tell them that you’re a WMU student, as our texts are housed in a different section of the store. Barring supply problems, texts are generally available 1-2 weeks prior to the start of class. In addition, a copy of the book list is available online and in our office.
