Electronic Reserves

Instead of using a paper course-pack for your class, consider using the Electronic Reserves system through the WMU Libraries.  This service is free to you and your students!

What can you include in your E-Reserves?

WMU Libraries can include any of the following materials:

  • Links to any of WMU Libraries' articles from its subscriptions to over 17,000 electronic journals
  • WMU - Extended University Programs - Electronic Reserves System

  • Scanned paper articles when the article is not available electronically

  • Links to any of WMU Libraries

  • Scanned individual chapters from books not available as E-books*

  • Uploaded or scanned lecture notes, PowerPoint files, copies of Old exams, etc.

    Further Benefits of E-Reserves

  • This service is free to you and your students.

  • When copyright needs to be cleared for any material, WMU Libraries will take care of that process and notify you accordingly.

  • You may organize the materials however you choose, i.e. you can have the readings set up week by week, grouped by course topic or section, or listed all together.

  • E-Reserves can link from your course webpage or WebCT.

  • E-Reserves is available to you and your students 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
