Viewing articles delivered electronically

You will receive an e-mail message notifying you when the article is ready to be picked up. The article will NOT be sent as an e-mail attachment. Once you get the e-mail notification, you may log into your account to retrieve the article. If you have requested journal articles then they will be delivered to your account on the Interlibrary Loan system. Articles remain posted for 30 days. You may delete them when you have finished using them, or the system will delete them after 30 days.

To receive electronic articles:

  1. Enter your user name and your password on the ILL login page. Click the button to Logon to ILL.
  2. Scroll down to the section Review Requests. Click the View Electronically Received Articles button. You will see brief citations for the articles that have been delivered
  3. Each article has a hyperlinked transaction number. Click on the transaction number for the article you want.
  4. A scanned copy of the article will be displayed. You may scroll through it and read it on the screen. You may print it by clicking on the printer icon in the upper left. For best results use the printer icon closest to the document
  5. You may download it by clicking on the diskette icon in the upper left. Save it to a disk, or your hard drive.
  6. When you are done, click the Back button. You will again see the list of articles you have received.
  7. Look in the column labeled Expires to see when the article will be deleted. If you are done with an article you may remove it from the system by clicking the Delete button next to the citation of the article.
  8. Click the Exit to Main Menu button in the upper right. Use the buttons here to make new requests, or check the status of other open requests.
  9. Click the Exit ILL System button in the upper right hand corner when you are done.
