E-books

The WMU libraries make thousands of electronic books, or “e-books,” available. E-books are electronic versions of printed books, and contain the content of the original; including illustrations, graphics, and indices. E-books have advantages for branch campus students. You may browse e-books, search for keywords, use them easily for quick reference, or read them cover-to-cover as you would a hard copy book. Because they are available online they are available instantly, any time you need them.

The majority of e-books are accessible through the Library catalog, WestCat, at: https://www.library.wmich.edu/

If a book you find in WestCat is available in E-Book format you will find a Web-Link to the book posted in the listing.

Normally there are restrictions on how many pages you can print at once. While viewing the e-book, check the Help sections for more details.
